  My mother Grace was born in 1917 in Chatswood (Sydney). The Taylor family later moved to Melbourne. All of these photos were taken in the 1920s.
• My father Len Gale grew up in Kingsland, Auckland. Here is a photo of Newton Gully taken around 1946 (before the North Western Motorway came about).
